Upgraded Surron Ultra Bee Dual Caliper Bracket | 7075 Billet
Product specifications
Fits: Surron Ultra Bee. Upgraded dual caliper bracket, machined from 7075-T6 billet. Mounts two OEM Ultra Bee rear brake calipers on the stock rotor. Chrome or black.
The upgraded Surron Ultra Bee dual caliper bracket from EXC. It is a dual caliper mount for the rear of the Ultra Bee: it holds a second rear brake caliper next to the stock one so you can run a foot brake and a hand brake on the same rotor. Every other Ultra Bee caliper bracket on the market does that too. The difference is what it is made of, and what happens the first time the bike goes down on its right side.
Every other Ultra Bee dual caliper mount bends
The rear caliper bracket hangs off the swingarm right where the bike lands in a lowside. Rotor, caliper, bracket, ground. The Surron dual caliper mounts sold today are cut from 6061 aluminum, the same alloy as a bike frame or a handlebar riser. It machines fast and it is cheap, and it bends. A bent brake bracket pulls the caliper out of line with the rotor, the pads sit crooked, and the rear brake goes soft on one pull and grabs on the next. Most riders find out when the pedal feels wrong on the ride after the crash, not during it.
This Ultra Bee brake bracket is machined from 7075-T6, the alloy used in aircraft structures, climbing gear and race bike cranks. It carries about 1.8 times the yield strength of 6061-T6, which is the number that matters for bending: the load a part takes before it stays bent instead of springing back. Our tests put it at 10 times the resistance to bending of a standard bracket in a crash. Same bolt pattern, same footprint as the stock Ultra Bee caliper mount, a part that comes up straight after a slide.
Ultra Bee foot brake mount: hand brake and foot brake on one rotor
The bracket holds two OEM Ultra Bee rear brake calipers on the stock rotor. Keep the hand lever on the bar and add a pedal, so the rear brake is under your right boot the way a dirt bike runs it: drag it into corners, tap it to bring a wheelie down, hold a balance point with your hands off the bar. The Surron Ultra Bee foot brake kit brings the pedal, line and second Ultra Bee caliper. This dual caliper bracket is the piece that holds both calipers on the rotor. Together they are the full Ultra Bee dual caliper foot brake setup.
Why a 7075 Ultra Bee caliper bracket costs more
7075 bar stock is roughly twice the price of 6061 and it is harder on tooling, so it runs slower on the machine. That is why nobody else uses it for a part most riders never look at. We think a rear brake caliper mount is exactly the part that should survive a crash, because it is the one holding your rear brake on. If you are upgrading the Ultra Bee brakes anyway, this is the bracket to do it on.

Questions riders ask about the Ultra Bee dual caliper kit
Do I need a different rotor?
No. The bracket runs on the stock Ultra Bee rotor.
Does the hand brake stay?
Yes. The stock caliper and lever stay where they are. The bracket adds the second caliper for the pedal.
Will it fit the second Ultra Bee caliper I already bought?
If it is an OEM Surron Ultra Bee rear brake caliper, yes. Same caliper on both sides of the bracket.
Is this the same as a Surron dual caliper kit?
The kit is the pedal, line and caliper. This is the bracket that mounts both calipers. Buy it alone if you already have a foot brake kit and want a mount that does not bend, or with the kit above for the full setup.
What happens if I crash on it?
That is what it is built for. 7075 at this thickness holds its shape where a 6061 bracket folds. If you ever bend one, send us the photo.
